01

A clearer school picture

Review attendance, academics, graduation and discipline information with the context needed to understand it.

02

Shared next steps

Keep the purpose of a plan, the people involved and the next review together, so the team can return to the same agreement.

03

A record to return to

Review what staff recorded alongside student progress. Use that evidence to inform the next conversation and decision.

From evidence to action

Keep the work moving between conversations.

Student support continues after a meeting ends. Throughline gives the team a place to review the evidence, agree on the work and return to it when the next decision is due.

  1. 01 · Understand

    Start with the evidence.

Look at the student's records and the period they describe. Keep what is known and what still needs context in view.

  2. 02 · Coordinate

    Agree on the next step.

Bring the team's work into a shared plan with a named owner and a date to review it.

  3. 03 · Follow through

    Return to the record.

Review the actions staff recorded and the student's progress before deciding what to continue or change.

Staff make the decisions. A record of an action helps a team review its work; it does not, by itself, establish that support was delivered or that an outcome improved.

Who uses it

One team, different responsibilities.

Administrators, counselors and teachers bring different questions to student support. Each person's view follows the access and assignments their district provides.

Administrators

Review the school picture across available reports, examine the students behind a measure, and follow support work through its next review.

Counselors

Review assigned students, their records and support plans. Bring reported delivery and student progress together when a plan is reviewed.

Teachers

Review information for authorized students and sections, and contribute to support work within the access their district provides.

For your district

Start with your school's questions.

A useful conversation starts with your team and its work. We can explore where Throughline fits, what information is available and what your district needs before getting started.

Privacy and security

Clear boundaries for student information.

For district use, student records and action history are held in district-controlled Google Workspace under the district's agreements. Evaluation uses labeled fictional records in a separate Ctrl+Logic environment. Your student information system remains the system of record.

Staff can choose to make printed or downloaded copies, and some controls open drafts in other services. The privacy policy explains these choices, how records are handled and the boundaries for access, sharing and retention.
